last night i went to bed at 8. i guess more jet lag. then woke up at 6am. this morning i went on a walk, roberta told me of this place i could go that has some farm lands and a great view of the lake. it was only a few minuets away but i ended up going on an hour and a half walk. i didn't want to stop. i brought my camera and took some photos along the way.
the circled area is where my bedroom is. there are a lot of modern places mixed in with the old shutter style buildings. every building put up has to be built to last at least 100 years, that is the law. so it is all made from stone.
they have these weird looking trees just about everywhere. i dont know what the deal is.
that arrow is showing where this picture was taken in relation to where i am living. so i live over where the arrow points.
the road leading to the farm land. i passed by many people on it. people seem to go on walks often, or walk to their destination or just walk their dog. i passed by a few people and almost all of them said hi to me but i felt bad cus i couldn't remember how to say hi so i just smiled.
a different area i found. if i am standing looking out my window this area of town is to my left, down the hill and close to the lake.
i live over that hill behind those condos
there are sooo many great colors everywhere. peach, seafoam, green, teal, and so on. i have seen a few places with these teal shutters. the second house, behind, has like this different colored green shutters. i love shutters so much!
they have graffiti in switzerland too. most cars on the road don't look this compact. most cars i see are nice like mercedes, bmw's, buicks, (and more but i cant really tell what they are)
i enjoyed my walk and can't wait for the next.
after i returned from the walk, i helped roberta, the mom, get ready for the middle child's princess tea party that happened today. i made two loaves worth of tea sandwiches, cut strawberries, prepared the table, helped set up, helped at the party and then helped clean up. it was quite the party with 8 3-4 year olds and 6 babies. i met some great kids and great moms. i will put those pictures up tomorrow.
tomorrow we are going to take the train into zurich!
i can't wait!

thanks for the update, keep em coming!
Switzerland looks like the perfect place to spend a winter vacation. An Egypt vacation sounds wonderful too. My new goal for 2010: learn a foreign language (such as Italian) and move to a foreign country that speaks said language. Thanks for the inspiration.
