day six

we went in for a quick visit to Zurich this morning. roberta needed to show me how to ride the train. a bit confusing at first but i am pretty sure i understand now(we will see). what a great train system they have. if only they had these everywhere(being in the US), that go to and from cities. some trains(in the US) only go to major stops, but here you can take a train to just about any place and Zurich is only about a 20 min ride. i really enjoyed the train ride and Zurich. Zurich is amazing! i canNOT wait to explore EVERY street...well as many as i can get to because there are so many!
so for day one in zurich here is what i saw...

we climbed this hill that had a park that overlooked Zurich

the overlook at the little park

just this big flat area of "park" that is the center of zurich life. you can see down below there are houses and businesses that peak over to the park.

this clock face is the largest in all of europe
i dont know what this building is but it was quite fancy.
the largerst cathedral in zurich...i will go inside at some point.
went inside this abbey, its called Fraumunster Abbey. check it out HERE if you want

a further back look of the Fraumunster abbey
spotted one of the couple H&M's in zurich
there are also many starbucks, however it is very expensive. over 6 swiss francs for a small cup of classic hot chocolate...which is like $5 in the US

i love this place and canNOT wait for the many adventures it holds for me!

Wow- that is an expensive cup of hot chocolate. I remember thinking China's was so expensive but looking back it was more like $1.50 American. But in China is seemed like SO MUCH $.

Looks like you are having a blast exploring & seeing amazing stuff there. CAn't wait to see more!

Monica, you should talk on your videos, they are eerily silent. Plus, I'm sure everyone would love to hear your voice.
