today's adventures

my morning was spent with mariah(well and tyler but im always with tyler). we have fun together, her and i. this morning was packed with fun. i turned on Josh Kelley and we danced around. then we tried on headbands...she wanted to wear one but she is very picky about which she wears. i thought this cat one was funny(part of her moms halloween costume) but she didnt want it on her head...i told her i would take some silly pictures of her if she wore it for a bit. works every time.

she is such a cutie. so is tyler. tylers hair was looking mighty red today.
THEN mariah needed her binoculars. well we couldn't find them so she wanted to make a new pair. i said okay. NEXT thing i knew she came back upstairs from downstairs with a empty toilet paper roll i said...
me-"mariah you didnt take that off one being used did you"
mariah-"no"
me-"mariah are you sure? did you find that one in the trash then?"
mariah-"yes. i need another one."
me-"okay we will look for one"
im finishing up cleaning the kitchen and here she comes back with a second one
me-"mariah did you find that in the trash or did you take it off the roll being used?"
mariah mumbles something
so im thinking okay she just found it in the trash too. i get her out some jewels to put on her binoculars and then i need to use the bathroom. this is what i found...

me-"mariah, you are in big trouble"
of course then i talked to her about what happened and how that was not okay. that i could have helped her find an empty one{i ended up finding an empty one in each bathroom} i told her she needed to help me roll the toilet paper back on the empty one found in the trash(which if she waited two seconds for me to help her i would have found them)
after rolling it up i went to the bathroom...while washing my hands it occurred to me...
me-"mariah, if i go down and check the bathroom am i going to find the same thing in that bathroom?"
mariah just nods.
me-"mariah! come down and help me roll it up"
sure enough...
she was not too excited to help again...but she did smile when i pulled out the camera. then we talked again about what she can do next time to find empty rolls. like i said, today was packed with fun.
after she "decorated" her binoculars which of COURSE after ALL that work of getting the jewels out for her{she wanted a huge pile of jewels to put on. i convinced her to start with a small handful first then maybe she can put on some more}, her getting the rolls, us rolling back the toilet paper on rolls...she only put 4 jewels on!! so i stuck a few more on to complete it. here she is checking for birds. but i assure you she will be wearing those binoculars a lot...she did that with the first pair she made

THEN
lucky mariah also got her fingernails and toenails painted by moi. she sat very still and waited patiently for them to dry. we had a fun time doing that and laughed when i scratched her nose for her.

THEN
later today i was able to go on a walk. can i tell you enough how much i love doing this!? no i dont think i can nor will i stop. i caught a bit of pink sunset on the mountains.

then quickly it vanished. its amazing how fast that can happen.
i live by such HUGE beautiful mountains. they are so close. it amazes me every time i see them.
while out on my walk, i picked up a few essentials.
~dried apples{the soft dried kind YUM}
~q-tips, somehow i managed not to pack any
~banana chocolate bars which you will notice is already opened. i may have eaten one as soon as i left the store
~swiss chocolate duh!

i was a tad nervous to go through the line. hello dont talk to me i dont speak german! the lady in front of me in line got out of there without speaking a word...so i thought i was in the clear too. nope, i was asked 2 questions...luck i ly i knew what she was asking and i answered. but for the record...i canNOT for the life of me remember to say "nei" instead of "no" sometimes its so embarrassing to be a foreigner.

my days are going by so fast.
