welcome back sun

finally some sun! we have had some dreary snowy days this past week. i have heard from multiple people here that this is the worse winter they have had for a few years now. just my luck. finally this last saturday the sun came out and the snow subsided...for about an hour. i had to take some pictures to capture the sun shining in.

the previous day i made snowflakes and the girls helped me decorate them. reality was confirmed once again, i cannot cut cool looking snowflakes. i even watched a little tutorial online...helped a bit but still pretty pathetic shapes.

my room. i love my huge window. during the day it brings in such great natural light.

oh hello sun shinning. this is the view from outside our porch. the porch is the next thing outside of my window so we have the same view however the porch captures a bit more.
this is the view if you look off to the right of the porch. i walked up to those woods the other day. so many great places to journey to. notice that burnt orange building...those have condos in them. people live there! it is so interesting their take on modern.
there is that blue sky that only lasted about an hour. i love clouds, a lot.
just a zoomed in view off the porch. the mountains are so beautiful.
THEN of course...
since the sun came out i couldn't resist going for a walk. i had been stuck instead for 6 days because of the nasty snowy weather. this is more of Wadenswil. there are seriously an endless amount of photographs i could take in my town...and so far i have only photographed places that are no longer than a 20 min walk. just wait till i go further!

vines grow just about everywhere.
sure love this towns color palette.
right in front of where i live. that is our street.

the swiss sure aren't afraid to live in color.

sail boat.
although, there was blue sky and sun...yonder it was still foggy. actually pretty soon after i got home that foggy storm came our way.

someday when this bench isn't covered in snow i will sit on it, i will sit on it read and eat my lunch. this place is my favorite to walk to, about 7 min away. i love the view it reminds me of home.

just past the view point is a walk way that has this temporary wall put up because they are building a house on the other side of it. on the wall are these really random paintings that either a grown up did or a child. can't tell.

there is that wall...see the paintings?

while taking these photographs i realized something. i had always thought that those lines were just painted on, but close up you can see that they are actually wood pieces. the wood is combined with the cement. interesting.

oh bad weather go away so i can explore more.

oh wait, here is that bad weather now...
this is the same day as the pictures up above! about 2 hours after i returned home from my walk. and this is pretty much how it has looked previous to the sun out and ever since. notice how foggy and dreary it is. also notice how huge snowflakes are falling...you can see them up close in the picture as well.

Great pictures.

And I'm seriously loving all the gray and yellow buildings. Scott & I should have talk about how our house needs to be those colors.

And I LOVE that HUGE window in your room.

Love. It.

What is that big beautiful yellow building? And funny you, you thought those lines were painted on...cracks me up! Oh Monica, I am glad you are seeing the world. Thanks for all the great pictures. You don't seem so far away when I can see all you are doing.
