Egypt- Day 3

{journal entry}

Day- 3

this morning started out a bit chaotic. tyler had another blow out that got all over his bedding. also, there were thousands of ants crawling around one of the counters in the kitchen. YUCK. luckily, it happened today when the parents were here.

we made our way to breakfast at about 8am. today is one of my days off so i didn't need to help too much at breakfast so it was nice to just sit back and have some breakfast(especially since when it was just me yesterday i barely got to eat anything). i found my favorite server this morning. we usually eat in another area which he is usually at but this morning they sat in another area. lucky for me this server was restocking dishes today so was in our new area. at the very end i asked a different guy for water bottles and he asked "my server" to get them for me. as soon as he saw it was for me he had a huge smile on his his face. he asked me how i was and i asked him. he was happy to talk to me. he is cute. i like to think of him looking like a much cuter, egyptian version of carlton from fresh prince. hah. i really don't know if that is accurate at all.

now we are the beach. about 15 steps from the water. people pass by...interesting people...one girl topless..bizarre...why would you want your breasts just hanging out? WHY? or burnt! ouch. found a really cool shell, probably illegal to take but i am a wild woman. oh the american eagle guy was there, he works at the boat place where i saw him the first time. we sat right in front of the boat excursion today. some guy came up to us at the beach to give us info on some fun water sports and such and asked roberta where she was from. she said USA. then he asked me if i was egyptian...i said no...he said that i had egyptian eyes. yesss. thank you! best compliment all trip. someone mistaking me for egyptian.

so roberta and i took anna and mariah on a glass bottom boat tour. i was on the red sea! take that! the bottom beaning class allowed us to see the sea life. yet again the egyptian men were entranced by me. what's the deal!? the boat ride was about an hour. it was enjoyable for sure. then on the way back we all went and walked around on top of the boat which was beautiful to see out and all around.

then we left the beach and here i am by the pool. it is so stinkin hot out here. i feel like i am more hot here in march then i was in vegas last august. possibly. however there is a pretty nice breeze here.

pretty much everywhere i go i am writing in this journal. i'm sure i look like i am writing some sort of novel. i should be. i wrote stories all the time when i was younger. i used to love it. someday i still hope to write childrens books, did you know that? ps. while i write i have to keep one i shut for the page is too bright and i don't want to squint or i get those white squint lines on my forehead.

i am going to HAVE to shower today. it must be done. if i don't today i wont bel able to till friday. today is tuesday. tomorrow i have the kids alone while rob & roberta go to Luxor. thursday is my trip to cairo. i am feeling like the outside is making my skin taste like it.

while i sit here i am contemplating on whether i should have brought a low number sunscreen. sorry to everyone if i get skin cancer. they, woolley's, have some but they have the kind that is like 80spf. i would never get tan if i used that.

whenever i hear/listen to a really good r&b song i just want to break out and dance. doesn't matter where i am. like really bad, but i don't have a big enough audience at the pool today.

at the beach
our glass bottom boat in the background
ty ty at the beach
what we saw on the boat
this one is a huge coral reef that looks like a brain
the view from the inside of the boat
the amazing view out on top of the boat

a beautiful area of our resort
at the pool we always went to. there are several pools but this one was heated and close to our villa.
miss thang in my glasses

snuggled up for a picture

Monica, maybe you are part Egyptian. That would explain your exotic look. So many people ask me why you look so exotic, like at church and stuff, so funny. I am enjoying reading all this, although it is taking me a couple days to get through it.
